The Starry night

Today, I got up a bit late. Around 6:30a.m. The reason being I slept a bit too early last night and had to get up in the middle of the night. The sleep interruption offset my sleeping schedule by an hour. After getting up, had a shower and got back to work. I posted my app on product hunt and submitted ANTSAND to app sumo. A bit of marketing. Then, I did my tacit commando. After which I needed to get OpenCV installed properly.

On Sunday, though I built and installed OpenCV, it was for the wrong version. I built it for a 64-bit processor. My Linux running on a virtual machine runs on a 32-bit processor. So I had to rebuild it. After rebuilding it, I tried to run a test program. To display images, it needed either Qt or gtk+ installed. So I had to download the gtk+ dev package and once again recompile OpenCV with gtk+. It took a while but not as long as it did on Sunday. After all the packages were installed I was finally able to run OpenCV. The simple program was to convert the starry night jpg image to png. The code worked. I am happy everything now works fine. I can now use openCV for more complex image computations.

I then started to finish up logistic regression. Started to do the programming assignments. I am still not sure where and how I might be able to apply it, but will surely find some way to do so. The only way I know to get the most of a newly acquired knowledge is to practice and implement it. OR else the knowledge will run away from your mind a.k.a forget. This is not helpful. So better figure out an application and use it immediately.

In the afternoon I went to London Drugs to get a humidifier and an inhaler for my sinus. Spent around $130. Hopefully, these products will help minimize my snoring, reduce my sinus and help reduce the frequency at which I get headaches.

I have not worked on ANTSAND software for a few days. I will be working on it tomorrow. There are a few user feedback I got, will address those. Client jobs are pending will finish those up and try to get started on automating SSL.

I will end today by taking care of the cat litter, brushing my teeth, writing this blog, and going to sleep.
